An Everyday Carry (EDC) knife is a compact, reliable fixed-blade or folding knife that you carry with you virtually every day as part of your regular pocket or belt gear — just like your wallet, keys, phone, or watch. It’s designed to be a general-purpose tool for routine tasks, not a weapon.
